ID's rookie boy group
DASE has made a comeback with a 'doll concept'.
Their groundbreaking
promotion called <DASE's Dressing Room> has turned social media upside
down for a while.
Even if you're not a
fan of DASE, if you're an idol fan, you've probably checked out their Dressing Room
at least once.
Fans joked that when
the group starts promoting, they might actually wear the outfits the fans posted
on social media in their music shows.
And that actually
happened.
(School uniform

(Checked blouse,
choker, and leather pants outfit group photo.jpg)
(Jumpsuit outfit

(Denim jacket and
jeans outfit group photo.jpg)
+ I'll keep adding
them in the comments.
===========================
- It's like they're
making a comeback every day, haha.
- I love it so muchㅠㅠㅠ Can they please wear a suit just onceㅠㅠㅠㅠ
- I'm a fan of
another group, but I'm so jealous...
- (Harness outfit
group photo.jpg)
└ Wow.. each member
has a different harness.
- There are at least
four music shows including cables, so they're churning out 24 outfits per week
- The stylists here
are really working hard~
- Minsung and Baekya
were the only ones who wore jumpsuits properly, but the others…….ㅋㅋㅋ
└ Yulmu was wearing
nothing underneath, with his buttons undone...
└ I love how Yuyeon
and Chung Chung only wore the bottoms of their jumpsuits and tied the jacket sleeves
around their waists!!!
- So prettyㅠㅠ
- (Sailor uniform
outfit group photo.jpg)
└ Baekya in a sailor
uniform + beret is legendary
- Chung Chung wearing
denim!
//TN: "Denim"
or "jeans" in Korean is also "chung," so the comment is basically
saying that Chung Chung is wearing chung.
- The smaller guys
look really cute in sailor uniforms, haha. The taller ones look more like
they're wearing navy uniforms than sailor uniforms.
└ I'm glad their
sailor suits look like navy uniforms
└ That "small
guy" is actually 175cm tall
- This is a bit
off-topic, but the guy who wore a beret sings really well... His voice just
keeps going up and up;
└ The four-octave range?
└ Maybe that's why
they're getting a good response these days. Their music streams seem to be
climbing slowly.
└ This is their
second time promoting, and it's their first physical album, but they've already
sold 330,000 copies in the first week period. Of course, the fan sign event
contributed to that. It seems like ID is really pushing them.
- The outfits are
amazing! But why is it different for Rose Day, from the same agency..?
- Please have a
longer promotion periodㅠㅠ

From the early morning, Sparrow
was busy dolling up. She couldn't recall putting this much effort even for a
blind date, but that was of no concern to her now. Experiencing for the first
time the true value of her spending, she checked her phone message again with a
happy face.
[Congratulations! You have
been selected for the DASE 1st Mini Album 'WANT ME' fan signing event.]
Thinking she would only buy
two albums at most, she impulsively walked out with an entire box of albums.
'Even though my
wallet is empty now, I have no regrets.'
Thanks to that, she didn't
just get her hands on all the dragon balls but also the regular versions of
Baekya photo cards, those meant for collection, display, and personal use. The
more Baekyas, the better.
//TN: Dragon balls = all
the photo cards of every member
With her ID card, album,
power bank, and gifts all neatly packed, she set off for the meeting place.
Living at the western edge of Seoul, Gangnam was a destination she seldom
visited, maybe once a month. Her subway journey began as she passed through the
turnstile.
After about an hour, she
arrived at an art center in Seocho-gu. Despite her early arrival, the entrance
was swarmed with DASE's fans.
[DASE FANSIGN EVENT]
"Please prepare your
ID and ticket confirmation in advance~"
She realized the long line
was for exchanging entry tickets.
Quick-witted, she swiftly
joined the end of the line. A brief glance told her it would take at least
another 10 minutes before it was her turn.
'God, I'm so
nervous.'
She trembled, wondering if
meeting Baekya in person might actually give her a heart attack if she was
already this nervous. She rummaged through her bag and pulled out a calming
herbal pill.
"Ah! Water...!"
But she had forgotten to
bring water. The prospect of chewing the bitter pill without water made her
frown. Just then, she heard a voice from behind.
"Do you need some
water?"
It was like an angel had
appeared.
"Oh, thank you. Just
a sip, please..."
She managed to swallow the
pill and cautiously handed back the water bottle. The kind stranger struck up a
conversation.
"May I ask who your favourite
member is?"
"Oh, I'm a Baekya
fan."
"Aha, a Baekya fan. I
like Jihan."
The girl, a fan of Jihan,
was stunning, almost resembling him a bit.
"Are you here
alone?"
"Yes, this is my
first time being a fan of an idol group, so I don’t really have friends to go
with."
"Oh my, me too!"
They quickly bonded.
Before they knew it, they had exchanged social media contacts and started
addressing each other by nicknames.
"Nara-nim, can I take
a certification photo over there?"
Beside the entrance was a
yellow standee. Fans were taking pictures of their tickets in front of it.
"Yes, let's take a
picture! I want one too."
Sparrow took the photo and
uploaded it on social media right away.
- Wow, Sparrow-nim,
you got selected for the fan signing? Congratulations!!! I'm so jealousㅠㅠㅠ
The comment popped up
immediately after her post. It was from her friend Boksoong, who unfortunately
hadn't been selected. She promised Boksoong she'd enjoy it on her behalf too
and ended their chat.
"Please take your
designated seat."
Upon entry, a staff member
checked her ticket. Her number was 23; Nara's was 62.
"See you after the
event!"
The two agreed to meet
outside after the fan signing and parted ways. As the time drew nearer, the
seats began to fill up. She found herself in one of the front rows, curiously
looking around, especially at those with huge cameras.
'Those must be the
legendary big cameras!'
They were not few in
number. As soon as they sat down, they began snapping pictures of the empty
stage. Even the person next to her was one of them.
'What's so
interesting over there?'
She craned her neck,
trying to see what they were capturing, but the repetitive motion of snapping
and checking soon wore her out, and she slumped back in her seat.
'Whatever. I just
wish Baekya would come out already.'
Then, just a bit past 7
PM, DASE entered the stage from the side.
"Kyaaah!"
A loud cheer, almost
deafening, filled the art hall. The members entered, bashfully bowing or waving
their hands. In the center of the stage, DASE lined up in front of a table and
bowed deeply to the fans.
"One, two,
three."
"For your Days!
Hello, we are DASE!"
"Waaahhh!"
The cheer grew even
louder, startling Baekya, who widened his eyes in surprise.
'Ah! Han Baekya is so damn
cute!'
Sparrow silently cheered
for Baekya. As the cheering subsided, the sound of camera shutters echoed from
every corner.
Chachachak!
Right next to her, a
dedicated fan of Baekya, the homepage master known as Baekya Phenomenon (hereinafter
referred to as Baeksang), was also focused on her camera.
'Pink-haired Baekya. This
is truly cruel.'
DASE had appeared in their
teaser outfits - simple white tees and ripped jeans. Every click of the shutter
captured a perfect shot.
'Simple is indeed the
best!'
After showcasing elaborate
costumes resembling Halloween in each music show, they seemed to have toned it
down for the fan signing event. Their charm was truly sophisticated. Even their
hair was freshly dyed a vivid pink, adding to their otherworldly, doll-like
appearance.
'It's like a doll has come
to life...!'
As she continued her
endless shutter clicks, DASE finished their greeting and sat down at the
prepared table. Baekya took the fourth seat.
"We'll start in order
of the numbers~"
She clumsily pulled out
the album and gifts from her bag. The fan signing was officially starting.
'Ah... My heart feels
like it's going to burst.'
She didn't have to wait
long before joining the queue. Baeksang, who had left her camera at her seat,
stood right behind Sparrow.
"Next, please."
Finally, it was her turn.
The first member was Yulmu.
"Hello~"
"H-hello."
Sparrow stuttered, bowing
awkwardly.
'He's so tall...!'
Even while sitting, his
impressive stature was evident.
'Wasn't he in the basketball
club in middle school?'
That was why fans often
referred to him as the 'Sports God' or 'Sports Oppa'. Up close, she understood
why.
"How long did it take
for you to get here?"
Yulmu initiated the
conversation, noticing her silent, gaping stare.
"A-about, um, an
hour..."
"Aigoo~ You've come a
long way!"
Yulmu led the small talk.
"Which of our stage
outfits did you like the most?"
"All, all of them.
Really."
Yulmu was pleased with her
response. As she was about to move on to the next member, Yulmu extended his
palm first. Seeing her stare blankly, he encouraged her.
"High five! Please,
just once~"
Her hand, trembling
slightly, gently tapped against Yulmu's open palm.
"I'll move on."
The next member was
Minsung. With his neat and kind-looking appearance, even his voice was gentle.
"Have you had your
meal?"
"Yes. What did you have,
Minsung-nim...?"
As Sparrow used an overly
respectful honorific, the signing leader paused mid-autograph and looked up.
"You can talk
comfortably."
"Oh."
His lips curled up softly.
'It's like I'm
attending a live broadcast of a liberal arts talk show.'
He was the epitome of
elegance. Sparrow, mesmerized and unwittingly dropping her jaw, stood frozen.
Minsung, noticing her dazed expression, jokingly broke the ice.
"Uhm... I think
there's a mosquito flying around here."
She took it seriously and
quickly closed her mouth. Minsung laughed mischievously, revealing it was a
joke. His harmful-to-the-heart smile made the fans watching from their seats
gush.
"If I startled you,
I'm sorry. You seemed very tense, so I wanted to help you relax a bit."
"O-oh no, it's
okay."
"Really? I'm relieved
to hear that."
Minsung, mentioning it was
normal to be awkward as it was everyone's first time doing this, confessed he
was also quite nervous and suggested she lets her voice be heard a bit more
next time as he passed her album along. The third protagonist was Chung.
"Hi!"
As soon as Sparrow
approached, the Californian boy Chung offered a high five.
"Nice high
five~"
His energy was immense.
"Who did you come to
see?"
"D-DASE. I came to
see all of DASE."
"Really? Thank
you~"
He boasted of having received
special training to speak formally for today, ending every sentence with a
'yo'.
//TN: In Korean, adding
'-yo' at the end of a sentence is a way to speak formally to someone. Example: the
word "thank you" = gomawoyo(formal), gomawo(informal)
"The fansign event is
so much fun!"
And it showed. Wearing not
one but two headbands given by fans, Chung seemed to be enjoying the fansign
event more than anyone else there.

Oh my Chung is cute too AJKAWKJSSKJS
